Hometown Hero Banner Program (HHBP) Guidelines

a “Friends of the Exeter Township Police 501 (c) 3” Project


Mission

Honor and recognize servicemen and women, as well as first responders, who have or currently serve our country and/or community. To enhance our Exeter Township Perkiomen Avenue corridor and engage our community.


Application Requirements

  • Nominee must live, have lived, work or have worked in Exeter Township.
  • Nominee must serve or have served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard or Coast Guard or work(ed)/volunteer(ed) as a First Responder (Fire, Police, Medical). If military, then must have been honorably discharged or died in the line of duty. 
  • All applications are subject to first come first served and must be approved by the “Friends of the Exeter Township Police Department” HHBP committee.

Banner Design, Time Frame and Location

  • 24” x 48” double sided, heavy gauge vinyl material 
  • Includes Nominee name, photograph and other pertinent affiliation information and dates. Banner background/design will be assigned by committee.
  • Banners will be displayed for 1 year and are guaranteed for that period for wear and tear issues, not vandalism, theft or damage due to extreme weather.
  • Initial fee is $200 which includes production and installation of the banner.
  • The option to renew for additional years is strictly subject to space availability and is $125 per renewal year (no material warranty after year one). 
  • Banners will be mounted on the Perkiomen Avenue lamp posts, subject to availability. Location will be randomly selected and may not be requested. After removal of a banner, it will be available at the Exeter Township Administration building to be picked up by the Nominating individual within 90 days of removal or becomes property of Exeter Township.

The Banners Proudly Hanging Along the Perkiomen Avenue Corridor The Friends of Exeter Township Police Department proudly presents the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to honoring our local military personnel and first responders. Each banner, hanging proudly along the Perkiomen Avenue corridor, serves as a tribute to the brave men and women who have served or continue to serve our country and community.
